Melanie Brower, Intern

MS-CMHC

Meet Mel!

I am a current police officer and former correctional officer with firsthand experience in high-stress environments. I understand that trauma, difficult experiences, relationship concerns, and everyday pressures can impact people in many different ways. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself, feel heard, and work through challenges without fear of judgment.

I am currently a master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and practice under supervision. I take a person-centered approach, meaning our work together is focused on what matters most to you. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to offer support, encouragement, and practical tools as you navigate the changes you want to make.

I am EMDR certified and enjoy working with adult individuals who are processing trauma, managing anxiety, building coping skills, or trying to feel more in control of their lives. I also work with adult couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, work through conflict, or strengthen their connection.

My approach is supportive, honest, and down to earth. I want you to feel comfortable being open about what you are going through while we work together toward goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.
